Another problem probably affecting my rating is that I went on vacation in the middle of reading it and lost interest. Since Bevwrley and Bey’s first clashes are introduced in the previous story this book is an extension of that book. It is still good, still entertaining.

I like strong female leads, but I found her to be too modern for an HR. Some might say it was a gradual change, but I found him to be forcefully resistant beverely suddenly change. It was easy to see how Diana could love Rothgar, but the reasons for his attraction to her were not so clearly portrayed.
