I tried to read the book back inbut the large vocabulary that Lowry used made it too difficult to read. Such molten rivers are capable of burning to cinders those trying to penetrate the drunken mesh and reach the sober person trapped underneath; of seizing control bako the alcoholic’s mind and letting loose all of the primal demons bent on destruction and irrationality that gestate in the fires of the soul’s own hell.
